Lagenandra nairii 'Compact'

Lagenandra nairii ‘Compact’ is endemic to Chalakkudy, Kerala and is quite unique for its stunning compact growing habit; obviously the compact in Lagenandra varieties.

This can be grown submersed as well as emerged in paludariums/ terrariums/ photospheres etc.

The long thin shaped leaves of this plant makes it ideal for midground or background of the aquarium.

Echinodorus Sp. Cordifolius

Bright light and nutrient rich substrate is required. Roots need to be trimmed occasionally.

Cryptocoryne Parva

Smallest cryptocoryne sp which can be used as a foreground plant. Unlike other cryptocoryne sp this plant requires high light.

Hydrocotyle verticillata

This plant has no specific requirement other than strong light. Periodic pruning is required to produce a densely packed bush.

Cuphea anagalloidea

Cuphea anagalloidea is a small, demanding stem plant. Its shoots grow around 1.5 to 2 cm wide, measured from leaf tip to leaf tip. The striking red colour on the upper side of the submersed leaves is most intensive under strong light, and it can look like it was brushed on. The red leaves often have small green spots.

Requires very bright light, CO2 injection and adequate nutrient dosing for this plant to do well in the aquarium.

Looks good when planted in group and set against plants with light green leaves. For best result use very bright light and nutrients.
