Undemanding plant but will do very well in nutrient rich substrate, bright light, CO2 and adequate nutrient dosing.

One of the most popular true floating water plants with roots that hang down in the water, which helps to purify and clean the water by take up excess nutrients from the water and also shading the water and reduces algae growth. This is also useful in a biofilter.

Bacopa caroliniana

Given good substrate, adequate lighting and regular fertilization this plant will grow well in the aquarium.

Myriophyllum tuberculatum

Good choice for Dutch aquariums. Requires high light, CO2 and nutrients to bring out the color. Clean and clear water is required as debris may clog the fine leaves.

Ludwigia brevipes

A hardy mid-ground plant which has to be pruned regularly to keep compact. Low nitrates with high phosphate will make the plant reddish.

Ludwigia inclinata

Very bright light, CO2 injection, and adequate dosing is required for this plant to do well in the aquarium.

Vesicularia moutageni -'Christmas moss'

This is versatile and adaptable aquarium moss and can be grown under various aquarium conditions. 

Staurogyne spatulata

A new Staurogyne sp which grows tall. Requires high light and CO2 to grow dense.

Hydrocotyle verticillata

This plant has no specific requirement other than strong light. Periodic pruning is required to produce a densely packed bush.
