A hardy mid-ground plant which has to be pruned regularly to keep compact. Low nitrates with high phosphate will make the plant reddish.

This plant has no specific requirement other than strong light. Periodic pruning is required to produce a densely packed bush.

This plant can be used in terrarium or paludarium. It does not survive submerged for more than a few months.
