With bright light, CO2 injection and adequate nutrient dosing, is required for this plant to do well in the aquarium. Regular pruning is required.

Undemanding plant, once established in the aquarium will grow fast. Frequent pruning is needed to maintain shape.

Hygrophila odora is similar to difformis but differs by their narrower form. A nutrient rich substrate, water column nutrient dosing, adequate lights and CO2 injection will bring the best out of this plant.

Fast growing plant with big light green leaves. Plantlets grow from the plates of old leaves.

A hardy mid-ground plant which has to be pruned regularly to keep compact. Low nitrates with high phosphate will make the plant reddish.
