Good choice for Dutch aquariums. Requires high light, CO2 and nutrients to bring out the color. Clean and clear water is required as debris may clog the fine leaves.

Good plant for beginners. Can be grown under various conditions.

This plant is not very hard to keep, but will do best with CO2 injection. Multiply by lateral shoots.

Nutrient rich substrate is required for this plant which grows large. Suitable for large aquariums.

This plant can be grown under various conditions and the plant spreads through runners.

Lagenandra nairii 'Compact'

Lagenandra nairii ‘Compact’ is endemic to Chalakkudy, Kerala and is quite unique for its stunning compact growing habit; obviously the compact in Lagenandra varieties.

This can be grown submersed as well as emerged in paludariums/ terrariums/ photospheres etc.

This is a fast growing plant and should be pruned regularly.
