Hygrophila Serpyllum

Hygrophila Serphyllum is a new plant in the aquascaping hobby, fast-growing carpet plant for high-tech and low tech aquariums. This has light green colored round leaves about 1 to 1.5 cms. This also can be grown emerged in paludariums / terrariums / photospheres etc.

The best method to plant this is tying it on a piece of wood / rough stone /tree root with a dark cotton thread or fishing line to attach the plant until the roots holds the material & doesn’t appreciate being planted in the substrate in submersed condition & the rhizome should not buried in the substrate . Low light, low Co2 & very less nutrients are advised.

Its serrated leaf edges give a great texture look. This is good as a bush mid ground or a background plant. This also can be grown emerged in paludariums / terrariums / phytospheres etc.
