Cuphea anagalloidea

Cuphea anagalloidea is a small, demanding stem plant. Its shoots grow around 1.5 to 2 cm wide, measured from leaf tip to leaf tip. The striking red colour on the upper side of the submersed leaves is most intensive under strong light, and it can look like it was brushed on. The red leaves often have small green spots.

This is a fast growing plant and should be pruned regularly. The top should be cut for it to branch.

Easy plant to keep, good light will result in larger leaf whorls.

Requires very bright light. CO2 injection and adequate nutrient dosing helps this plant to do well in the aquarium. Size 5 X 5 cm

Important: This is a very delicate and sensitive plant so damages during transit is very high.

Nutrient rich substrate is required for this plant which grows large. Suitable for large aquariums.
