A hardy mid-ground plant which has to be pruned regularly to keep compact. Low nitrates with high phosphate will make the plant reddish.

Echinodorus amazonicus

Can be planted in groups. Regular pruning is required.

Ammannia senegalensis

This plant can tolerate high temperature. CO2 and nutrients are required for the plant to become orange red.

Microsorum pteropus - 'Java Fern ordinary"

Widely known as “Java Fern”- is the classic variant of ‘Microsorum pteropus’ and one of the largest in aquatic ferns. This is a fast growing plant and should be pruned regularly. The top should be cut for it to branch and grow compact.
