A hardy mid-ground plant which has to be pruned regularly to keep compact. Low nitrates with high phosphate will make the plant reddish.

Fast growing plant with big light green leaves. Plantlets grow from the plates of old leaves.

Sagittaria subulata

Very hardy plant that will do well in most aquariums. Requires bright light to grow as a carpet.
