Lagenandra nairii ‘Compact’ is endemic to Chalakkudy, Kerala and is quite unique for its stunning compact growing habit; obviously the compact in Lagenandra varieties.

This can be grown submersed as well as emerged in paludariums/ terrariums/ photospheres etc.

Lagenandra ovata

Grows high and can be used as a background plant. This low demanding plant can be grown emersed and submersed. Ensure rhizome is not fully buried.

Requires very bright light, CO2 injection and adequate nutrient dosing for this plant to do well in the aquarium.

A small stem plant from Asia which grows as grown as a carpet and bushy midground.

Ludwigia Perennis/ Glandulosa

Under right conditions this plant will grow quickly producing intensely olive green, pink leaves.

Ludwigia brevipes

A hardy mid-ground plant which has to be pruned regularly to keep compact. Low nitrates with high phosphate will make the plant reddish.
