Lagenandra nairii 'Compact'

Lagenandra nairii ‘Compact’ is endemic to Chalakkudy, Kerala and is quite unique for its stunning compact growing habit; obviously the compact in Lagenandra varieties.

This can be grown submersed as well as emerged in paludariums/ terrariums/ photospheres etc.

Bright light and nutrient rich substrate is required. Roots need to be trimmed occasionally.

A hardy mid-ground plant which has to be pruned regularly to keep compact. Low nitrates with high phosphate will make the plant reddish.

This is a hardy and adaptable plant. Regular pruning is required.

This plant can be used in terrarium or paludarium. It does not survive submerged for more than a few months.

Very hardy plant that will do well in most aquariums.
