Lagenandra nairii ‘Compact’ is endemic to Chalakkudy, Kerala and is quite unique for its stunning compact growing habit; obviously the compact in Lagenandra varieties.

This can be grown submersed as well as emerged in paludariums/ terrariums/ photospheres etc.

This plant has no specific requirement other than strong light. Periodic pruning is required to produce a densely packed bush.

Can be grown under low lights too. Grows into a beautiful lawn and can be used as a mid grown plant and background in nano tanks.

After a transitional period it develops different type of leaves, and grow low as a carpet with single leaves
