Under high light and nutrient dosing, the tip of the plant turns red. The leaves have dotted pattern. Care must be taken as the stems of this delicate plant can break off easily. They can also be kept as floating plant.

Ludwigia brevipes

A hardy mid-ground plant which has to be pruned regularly to keep compact. Low nitrates with high phosphate will make the plant reddish.

Hyptis lorentziana

Under high light and adequate nutrients dosing this plants leaves turn purple red. Easy to propagate through cuttings.
